hi, everyone. I am going to try this again but it's kinda hard tapping this out on the KIndle since I don't even text so I'm slow

Went to Jenna's to meet Alec (not ALex like I said on last post) after school and got to see his nifty new hairdo. KRIKEY!  I've found someone who has less hair than me.

Dan and Tammy were visiting this weekend and I also got to have my girls here. I was told an interesting story about Cate that I will share. Apparently when the girls and their mom went to Washington D.C. this summer, they saw some celebrities at the airport only they didn't know they were celebrities. Cate happened to see a lady wearing really neat  cowboy boots and told her that she liked them. The lady thanked her and then asked Cate if she was a fan of her television show Duck Dynasty. When Cate told her she didn't get to see the show because they didn't have cable, I think Corrie Robertson was probably surprised. I think most kids wouldn't have divulged that info, but Cate is totally honest about things like that. When I think about it , perhaps not having cable has encouraged both girls to read a lot more than most kids. Anyway, Cate told the man that Corrie was with, that she really liked his boots, too. Willie Robertson also thanked her.

We went to the funeral for yet another friend, on Sunday. Bernice Hand was a beautiful lady, both in appearance and in spirit. Yup, Folks, as I have said before, this has been one horrendous year for losing family members and friends, and I want it to stop NOW!

Well, better go now. We have a busy day tomorrow. I can really tell that Lon and I are getting old and falling apart. Monday I had to have a crown put on one of my teeth, and tomorrow I have an echocardiogram done and Lon gets to have a colonoscopy. We are so freakin excited.  Yay.

                   GOD BLESS YOU ALL

Good morning! It is coffee time. I find myself sitting at the computer and reading each morning. Glad you are back online. Your hair looks great. I remember Bernice Hand. She was quite a lady. Life certainly changes in an instant. A friend had a stroke during a meeting I was in yesterday. I try to start the day with "It's a great day". So today it was to count my blessings. I am counting you.

    Janene...

... was diagnosed with breast cancer on November 11, 2013. This is a place for all of the people who love and care about her to get the information about her treatment and her personal experience of kicking cancer's ass, (sometimes from her daughter's perspective). It's hard to stand by and not be able to do anything to help. Writing gives my mom an outlet and allows both of us to share information during this time. Therefore, we blog :)
