I'm finally back AGAIN with this stupid computer. The tech who worked on it said it would run like a new machine. Uh huh. I just worked on this blog for 45 minutes, and then all of a sudden, this computer decided to download some updates from Windows, and erased everything that I had written. GRRRRR
The latest on Little Ma. She is experiencing a great deal of pain, but is being a real champ about this whole situation. Here I go again, asking for prayers and finger crossing, but this time it is for her to have comfort and peace. Thanks.
With Thanksgiving coming up, I was thinking of some memorable experiences from the past. I recall one Thanksgiving when I was small, and sister Judy and I asked Mother if we could each have a whole turkey leg for ourselves and she let us! She must have made two birds that year for that to happen. Anyway, be careful what you wish for, because I remember gnawing and working that leg for quite a long time, but never did finish it. I don't know how Judy came out, considering that even being three years older than me, she was smaller than me.
Over the years, some Thanksgiving has been nice and some have been icy and blizzard and some have fallen on sister Sandy's birthday. (with all the hubbub getting a huge meal together, I think that sometimes her day fell between the cracks - sorry, Sandy). As far as bad weather is concerned, in 1991 the family all gathered way out in the country at Mother and Dad's farm on one of the worst days of the year. Jenna, whose boyfriend was a foreign exchange student from Spain, was in town all alone. So Jen talked Dan into driving, slipping and sliding all the way, to get Julio and bring him back out to the farm. That was nerve wracking, but he got to experience a holiday that they don't do in Spain. (He is now a well-known photographer in New York and Europe).
I had another Herceptin infusion yesterday and all went well. I talked to one lady and three men getting treatment at the clinic, and all of them were being treated for blood cancer. What is the deal???? None of them had leukemia, so I am not sure exactly what they have.
TV COMMERCIAL UPDATE: I really like the Christmas commercials for Target, with the theme "It's a marshmallow world in the winter". I also like the one for Liberty Mutual Insurance where the cute young lady is talking about wrecking her car "Brad".
TELEPHONE COMPLAINTS: And last but not least, how may of you have gotten calls, either on your home phone or on your cell phones, from RACHAEL? It is a recording from Cardholders Services and she keeps calling back, no matter how many times you hit the button that is supposed to take you off their call list. I swear, if there was a way to reach right through the phone lines and choke her, I would! Is there anyone that can put a stop to all these dumb calls? I really don't think I have won a free cruise, or that the government is offering me free cash to use in my business, or I need to take advantage of lowering my credit card interest rates. STOP THE MADNESS!
thank you for your time and support on these matters. LOL
GOD BLESS YOU ALL
