DO NOT LET WHAT YOU CANNOT DO INTERFERE WITH WHAT YOU CAN DO.

This is what I did this week.

First, I went to the dentist to have my teeth cleaned.

Next, I got instructions from the hygienist.

Last, I followed the instructions, like a good girl.

I found this battery-operated toothbrush that I had bought for granddaughter Abby, and she never had to use it.  Hmmmm . . .  I kinda like it!
The "teeth" deal was Friday. Then, on Saturday, Jenna, Alec, and I went to the Cedar Rapids Library, where there was an Autism Expo being held. We got to meet and talk to tons of people with info about autism, and got to spread the word a bit about our Woodbridge Haven project. Here's a few items that I picked up at the Expo.  NOTE:  Remember, today is Autism Awareness Day.

Then, on Sunday, Hubby was busy moving old steel beams off the building site that we are planning on using for Woodbridge Haven. Jenna took some great pictures that are on my Facebook page. Since I don't know how to move them from there to here, I'll just show you a few plain shots I took the other day on my camera.

And next is the picture of that old tree that I wanted to put a doorknob on, and place some kind of magical sign over the arched "doorway".  BUT, I found out that this tree is too massive. Literally, the arch is probably eleven feet tall. So, the whole thing is just going to be knocked over and cut up. It's too dangerous to go up high and  cut the top off. There's nothing in the photo to show you the scale of the size of this thing, but it is huge! Oh, well.

OH! OH! I also wanted to show off my little "Dough Boy". He's old and a tad rusty, but I really love him. This truck squirts through traffic, gives good mileage, and has a wonderful heater. What more could you want? Yup, this little baby is my ticket into the "White Conspiracy" Club. All of you that drive white vehicles know what I'm talking about. Everybody else . . . not so much.  hehe

    Janene...

... was diagnosed with breast cancer on November 11, 2013. This is a place for all of the people who love and care about her to get the information about her treatment and her personal experience of kicking cancer's ass, (sometimes from her daughter's perspective). It's hard to stand by and not be able to do anything to help. Writing gives my mom an outlet and allows both of us to share information during this time. Therefore, we blog :)
