The world breaks everyone, and afterward, some are strong in the broken places.

I GOT NOTHING

LIFE IS A BLANK CANVAS, AND YOU NEED TO THROW ALL THE PAINT ON IT YOU CAN.

                                                                                         Danny Kaye

It's true. . .I got nothing.  Things are really slow around here, kids.  I have a couple of friends that have some really interesting things going on in their lives, but those are their stories and not mine to tell. (Dagnabbit)

I have been watching WAR AND PEACE on TV, which is surprisingly good.  Never had the desire to delve into the book, with all it's Russian names and such. Also, my "limited" series, FLESH AND BONE, is over and guess what? - - - it's coming back next season.  It was so good, they decided not to "limit" it.  Yippee! I am almost done watching all six seasons of GOSSIP GIRL on Netflex.  Any show, ie: SMASH, that is filmed in New York is so interesting to me.

I have been doing a lot of writing lately. So much, in fact, that the e, s, a, d, n, and t are worn off my keyboard.  Think it's about time for a new laptop? Decided to start reading some more books, so just started GONE GIRL.

Uh. . . see what I mean about absolutely nothin' going on around here.  I did get up early and shovel snow off the deck.  Sure glad our deck isn't any bigger than it is.  And, yes, People, the snert is back.  Remember last winter me telling you that snow plus dirt equals snert. (Wait a minute, shouldn't that be spelled "snirt"?)
Whatever.

Oh!  Oh!  Almost forgot to tell you.  My wonderful Alec is getting an award Thursday.  It is the Marion Way Award for the most improved art student.  Jen is taking off work a little early and we are going to his school to see him get. . . well,. . .awarded. I need to take some photos of some of his work to show you.  His self portrait turned out amazing. His drawings are getting more and more evolved.  He puts in so much detail that it is fun to stand and look at his pictures and suddenly you notice some little bit here and there which is cleverly woven into the overall scene.  Lovely.

Hey, it's time for Commercial Comments!  I love that new Reese's peanutbutter cup commercial where it says, "YOUR MOUTH ISN'T WATERING - - - IT'S CRYING TEARS OF JOY

Well, I guess I'm going to try to find something interesting to do around here. Perhaps the toilet needs scrubbing.  Yup, that's what I'm going to go do.

                                                                 GOD BLESS YOU ALL

    Janene...

... was diagnosed with breast cancer on November 11, 2013. This is a place for all of the people who love and care about her to get the information about her treatment and her personal experience of kicking cancer's ass, (sometimes from her daughter's perspective). It's hard to stand by and not be able to do anything to help. Writing gives my mom an outlet and allows both of us to share information during this time. Therefore, we blog :)
