Milton Berle
Goodness, it's been a while since I had the strength or ambition to sit down at the old computer.
We finally had a wonderful Christmas. We usually celebrate with the kids and grandkids on Christmas Eve, but had to postpone it for a few days since Hubby and I came down with that awful flu/cold. I heard on the news that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip of the UK missed alot of their holiday festivities because they were both suffering from "hard" colds. Well, Liz and Phil. . .Janene and Hubby were doing about the same thing. I feel for ya!
Dan came from Minnesota to spend time with his girls. Tammy had to work and was unable to make it.
Thank goodness the weather held. Speaking of weather, one of our gifts from Dan and his family was a Toro Power Shovel so Hubby and I don't have to kill ourselves shoveling mountains of snow off our large deck. Woo Woo! I also got tons of Pyrex from both my kids. Don't raise your eyebrows. I asked for it. I am getting more concerned about storing things in plastic, and think glass is a safer choice. Hubby game me a wonderful new piece of Willowtree (he found one that I actually didn't already have!), some Curve Crush perfume that I wanted, and the Lauren Daigle(?) CD that just came out. Sigh.
I am content.
You know when you get to the age when you just go buy whatever you think you need? Well, that's basically me. It's hard to think of something that I would like and that I haven't already bought.. Anyhoo, I love all my wonderful glass storage pieces (large and small!). Jenna and Alec also got me a large supply of Pampered Chef spatulas. I guess she thought my twenty-something years old ones were kinda fugly and shot. If you haven't tried those pieces, do! They are wonderful.

Yesterday Jenna and I went to tour Camp Courageous and got tons of great information from Charlie Becker, the administrator. That place is amazing! We are still gathering info and forms and paperwork to get going on our business. It is kinda strange that we are hooking up with so many people who are interested in helping with this project. We are in the works of planning ways to get the word out and see just how many "clients" would be interested in joining our day-hab when we get it built and then up and running. God knows that there are plenty of people out there that would benefit from this kind of service. It is needed so badly. Of course, our first thought when planning Woodbridge Haven was that it would be a safe, healthy environment for our Alec when he ages out of high school. There just doesn't seem to be enough places that these wonderful people can attend and have a fulfilling life, with fun experiences and also feeling some kind of accomplishment during their day.
Anyway, hope 2017 will be a wonderful year for us all. We can only hope and pray. Remember, worry and fear are not conducive for any kind of progress in life. We must plan on things settling down and find a good and prosperous path.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL
