Ralph Waldo Emerson
Then, we went to Rockwood's Store which is now a museum/historical society and relived all the times we went into "Bucky's". Wow, talk about walking down memory lane.
We also met up with a bunch more kids at the friendly town bar a for supper and drinks (I, of course, drank Pepsi . . . except for the shot that my niece, Holly, bought me). Then we gathered at one of our friend's house for an evening of food and LAUGHING! I was incredibly exhausted from all the laughing.
Shari says something weird or very odd occurs around the anniversary of this horrible event. One year she decided to just embrace this time and not dread it so much, and went to a grocery store to buy lobster and steak and just enjoy a beautiful meal. She entered a nice grocery store that she had never been to. As she shopped, she noticed a woman racing toward her. When the woman caught up to her she exclaimed, "Are you Shari --------?" Shari said yes, she was. The woman said she was another attendant that had been on United 811, and shared that experience with her. As they talked, they both admitted that they had never, ever been to that grocery store before, but felt the need to go there. WOW! The woman also said that strange events happen around the anniversary for her as well.
