SOMETIMES, YOU JUST NEED A BREAK. IN A BEAUTIFUL PLACE. ALONE. TO FIGURE EVERYTHING OUT.
Went to the radiologist yesterday. And got sentenced to 5 1/2 weeks of radiation treatments. Starting Monday. Good news is that it is pretty painless, just tiring. The bad part about it is that treatments are Monday thru Friday each week. The first few weeks it will be at one o'clock which really chops up a person's day. The rest of the time I get the ten o'clock appointment which isn't as bad. I am worried about the progressive increasing tiredness. I am moving at half-speed now. It blows my mind that it takes me so long to do something that I would have knocked out much faster . . . just a year ago!
I spent most of the day at the building. I cleaned out the storage room (where I store stacks of extra chairs and seasonal decorations), and packed up a lot of gardening equipment from the utility room to take home. Then I put together some autumn-themed pots of silk flowers to put on the front porch. My pots of real geraniums and impatiens are still going well. Usually, I have killed off those poor plants by this time of the season, but they still looking so good, I hate to toss them out but I need to replace them with more artificial sunflowers and fall blossoms. Soon.
I had to have my furnace guy come to the building. It was time to fire up the heat in there. The fan on my brand new furnace was blowing, but there was no heat. Furnace guy figured out the problem and is replacing a PVC pipe tomorrow. I am afraid that my HVAC system might be jinxed (or a factory lemon). This spring when I turned on the AC, the fan blew air, but there wasn't cold. The repairmen came out twice, before they finally were working on the outside unit, and it blew up. No one was hurt, but it sure scared the guy working on it. The unit was replaced the next day. The men that work at this company sure come quickly when I call and they are a good bunch.
I am not used to furnaces or central air, 'cause we are all-electric at our home and the house is so old, it was never designed for all the ducts and such. I even had to have Nathan, one of our board members, show me how to replace the filter. sigh
Anyhoo, I'm going to bed now, and watch a rerun of "Golden Girls". NOTE: The other day I was thinking about my favorite TV shows, and came to the conclusion that I have an odd "favorites" list. --- Golden Girls, Gilmore Girls, and Gossip Girl.
Good night.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY
